Capital Cities Covers Madonna & Sinéad O’Connor

0 Comments 08 August 2012

Capital Cities make some of the most fun and fresh electopop today.  We’ve featured the killer “Safe and Sound” in a couple of weekend mixes, but figured they deserved a bit more.  Two of their latest ventures have been covering Madonna and most recently Sinéad O’Connor.  From anyone else these tracks would fall flat as either trite or shtick, but resurrect the songs adding their own groove and personality.  Tracks like these show they don’t take themselves too seriously which allows them to create such a carefree sound perfect for any dance party.  Can’t wait to catch these guys live.

Capital Cities – “Holiday (Madonna Cover)”

Capital Cities – “Nothing Compares 2 U 1 (Sinéad O’Connor Cover)”
