It’s been a crazy year over all…in the world, in music, and in the personal lives of myself and close friends. Crazy good and crazy bad. Avant-garde electronic duo LOL Boys get a full makeover with this remix by CFCF. Michael Silver takes the track’s title in mind mimicking the beat to Tupac’s “Changes” (or Hornsby’s “The Way It Is”) giving the song as a whole a purposeful feel. Other artists featured on Changes Remixes are Star Slinger, Friends of Friends labelmate Groundislava, Todd Edwards, and GRANT. Pre-order the EP HERE.
Star Slinger dropped this little piece of magic in support of his own dance party promotion team Jet Jam. The track features Mr. Slinger’s signature trap style with a pitched sample until around the 2:20 mark where the song takes an awesomely ravey turn. As for Jet Jam, they put on nights of eclectic dance music hosted by Star Slinger and visuals by Slovenian visual artists Michaela Selmani & Anže Sekelj. The above flyer is for just their second and third shows to date. Count us in.
Another stellar remix for your weekend, Star Slinger destroys Diafrix’s “Helicopter” turning into an almost jazzy tune. You’ll get hooked. Enjoy!

Just when you thought Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” had reached critical mass Orlando producer Luminary Youth drops a fresh sample giving it a rebirth. File this guy next to Clams Casino, Star Slinger, and your other favorite distorted, choppy instrumental hip-hop producers. If you’re into this track you’ll dig his newly released Unwritten Future EP which is available for free download for a limited time HERE. Definitely check out my next favorite “Never Alone” while you’re there.

Star Slinger got the opportunity to record with two of his all-time favorite hip-hop stars Juicy J and Project Pat in this rework of his recent collaboration with Reggie B. Now titled “Chain Dumbin’”, the added give the British beatsmith’s work some real southern flavor. Yet another dope track sponsored by Mtn Dew’s Green Sound Label.
