Maritime – Human Hearts

1 Comment 16 March 2011

Written and recorded over a span of four years Human Hearts is poised to be Maritime’s strongest record to date.  After their 2007 release Heresy and the Hotel Choir, the four Milwaukeeans had to put the band on the back burner to focus on “real life”.  With all the members’ attention on their families and careers the album came to fruition much slower than the previous three giving the band more time to fine tune.

On the first released single “Paraphernalia”, we find that hasn’t lost a step when it comes to writing accessible indie pop rock.  The song is filled with the band’s signature mix of beautifully tangled guitars, emotive vocals, and driving drums that they’ve become known for.  “Paraphernalia” immediately transports you to a time and place when everything was a bit easier and there’s a bounty of red Kool-Aid to be had (okay maybe just me).

Listen to the single below and head HERE to download it and preorder which is due out April 5th.
