Fresh off the release of their great debut album Psychic, Darkside (the duo of producer Nicolas Jaar and guitarist Dave Harrington) have announced a tour for 2014.  Check out the dates below.

One of the highlights of the album is the slow burning guitar driven Paper Trails, featuring ethereal vocals from Jaar.  The guitar lines definitely call back to Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmore and make the point that Darkside probably got their name from the Floyd’s classic album.

Nicolas Jaar has been getting a lot of attention the past year with acclaimed releases under Darkside and his own name.  Recently he dropped this sexy little number.  Featuring Scout LaRue–daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore–on vocals and Will Epstein on sax “With Just One Glance” is a humid dance number great for steaming the dance floor on these cool nights.  Note: I’ve also seen it titled “And I Say”, no matter the title it’s good.
