Missed in 2011
I am way behind on this one I know, but better late than never I guess. Wally De Backer is the Belgian born, Australian raised multi-instrumental singer-songwriter that goes by Gotye. His track “Somebody That I Used To Know” is easily one of my favorite songs of the year. From this year’s Making Mirrors, the song features Kimbra opposite De Backer on vocals explaining how two go from lovers to past acquaintances in just a moment. I’ll spare you too much detail as the Wikipedia page seems to go into quite a bit of detail. As an added bonus listen to Compuphonic’s dance remix of the track.
