Alet Corbet is the production moniker of Philadelphia’s Courtnee Owens.  As Corbet, Owens creates elaborate electronic soundscapes that often initially sound like the wanderings of a hand across a keyboard only to soon unify around a central theme and carry you to some far off land through your headphones.  ”LeyahWolf”, a mixture of assorted synths and trap beats, puts Alet Corbet in the Tron style playing field of experimental electronicists like LA’s Groundislava and LOL Boys.  Check it out below along with personal fav “RelishedByTheEnchanter” which you should at least listen through the first 2 minutes.  Both are from the Soaring Under EP which can be listened to and purchased HERE.

Avant-garde electronic duo LOL Boys get a full makeover with this remix by CFCF.  Michael Silver takes the track’s title in mind mimicking the beat to Tupac’s “Changes” (or Hornsby’s “The Way It Is”) giving the song as a whole a purposeful feel.  Other artists featured on Changes Remixes are Star Slinger, Friends of Friends labelmate Groundislava, Todd Edwards, and GRANT.  Pre-order the EP HERE.

LOL Boys – “Changes (CFCF Remix)”

This track is for those of you that still dream in a VHS blurred pallet.  The two mysterious beatmeisters Groundislava and Clive Tanaka collaborated on “TV Dream” for Groundislava’s Feel Me full length.  It’s a bit of a departure from his typical abstract trap work (see his Chrono Trigger sampling “Cool Party”) but is the biggest standout on the album.  Check out the rest of the album and purchase it HERE.
