Magic Man’s new single “Every Day” falls right in line with the wonderful trend of infectious electro indie rock.  It’s got everything without feeling forced: roaring tom fills, rhythmic muted guitar plucks, soaring woah oh oh oh‘s, colorful synths, you get the picture.  Listen if you like St. Lucia, Smallpools, or Walk the Moon–who they’re appropriately currently on tour with.  It’s still hot as hell here so I’m cranking this one and calling it another summer jam.  The track is the first single from the upcoming EP You Are Here due out September 10th.

There’s not much we know about Smallpools.  Here’s what we know: they’re an LA-based quartet; they have great album art; their only single “Dreaming” sounds remarkably similar to Passion Pit.  For the first minute I thought it was a new Passion Pit track, but the guys come into their own through the song.  With only one track to go off we’re not going to get crazy and call them a new fav, but if they put out another great song like this, I’m sure we will.  Download the single HERE.
