Free tracks are nice and free RAC tracks are nicer.  But a free RAC cover of a Smashing Pumpkins’ song?  Super nice.  In honor of 10,000 fans on that Facebook fad this cover of the legendary grunge rock band’s “1979″ was released.  It’s a pretty cool take on the song and features Liz Anjos on vocals.

Mashup Mondays

Here at slapthebass we’re a sucker for a good mashup.  Every Monday we’ll bring you one of our fav’s for your listening pleasure.

D.veloped is definitely one my new favorite mashup artists.  It was a tough choice which of his songs to post first, but “Womb Raider” sampling Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979″ set itself on top for me.  Check it out below.
