It’s always cool to hear mostly electronic artists perform their songs without the aid of programming or computer tweaking.  Here Tesla Boy reworks their single “Fantasy” for a live take at Parametrica Studio in Moscow.  This stripped and slowed version features simply piano, synth, drums, and vocals in a raw but elegant format.  Listen to the original again HERE.

Sometimes right from start of a song you know you’ve found your new favorite song.  They hit you right in your personal sweet spot from the top and don’t let up until you’ve listened to it on repeat seven or eight times.  Welcome to my sweet spot.  My ears immediately perked with approval as the hook faded in and I knew what I was in for.  The entire song is exactly what is right with musical nostalgia.  This, unfortunately, is my first impression of the Moscow synthpop outfit Tesla Boy who have been around for several years.  As they say, better late than never, enjoy.
