Here at slapthebass we’re a sucker for a good mashup.  Every Monday we’ll bring you one of our fav’s for your listening pleasure.

A newcomer to the StB Mashup Monday, 5 & A Dime mixes Pretty Lights’ “Finally Moving” with the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Notorious B.I.G., Wiz Khalifa, Jay-Z, and Kanye to create “Pretty Lights Get Me High”.  A nice smooth mashup for your Monday.  Enjoy!

I tend to be a sleeper on most hip-hop, but I can’t stop listening to this new track from Wiz Khalifa.  “The Race” is the newest single from Wiz’s upcoming album Rolling Papers which is due out March 29th.  It makes for the perfect track to get geared up for your weekend with its chilled out sample, ambient synths, and a smooth vocal hook.  Enjoy

This Sunday the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers will duke it out in Super Bowl XLV.  The Steelers have been equipped all season long with Wiz Khalifa’s infectious battle cry “Black and Yellow” so what’s a cheesehead to do?  Lil Wayne to the rescue.  The unexplainable Packers fan posted on his blog yesterday an inspired freestyle anthem for all those adorned in green and yellow entitled, well “Green and Yellow”. Guess I have to wait for the Panthers to go to the Super Bowl before “Black and Light Blue” gets recorded.  I’ve got a long time to wait.  Listen to “Green and Yellow” and watch the “Black and Yellow” video below.
