More Tracks From Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross Soundtrack

1 Comment 27 September 2010

Only a day away from the release of the soundtrack by and so here are a couple more tracks to get you excited.  The first is an absolutely stunning version of the classic piece “In the Hall of the Mountain King.”  In it the long time collaborators create a menacing electronic soundscape somehow mutually evokes terror and delight.  The duo take the infamous gothic melody and set it to a galloping tempo that quickly speeds up and ends in a fiery blaze.  It will be really interesting to see how it is used in the film.

The second is a smooth electro track equipped with a pacing down beat and enough layered synths to make Kraftwerk jealous.  Be sure to head over to the Null Corp. website HERE and pre-order the album, download the five free tracks, and watch the trailer to The Social Network which is out in theaters this Friday, October 1st.

Trent Reznor Releases Tracks From Upcoming Score

No Comments 17 September 2010

has made good use of his break from with an EP from his new project How to Destroy Angels and co-scoring with the upcoming Facebook film .  Right now you can download five tracks from the album here or pre-order the whole soundtrack in a variety of formats.  The official release date is set for September 28th.

What does it sound like?  In Mr. Reznor words, it is “electronic in basis, but mostly organic sounding [with] lots of experiments and emphasis on sound fraying around the edges while focusing on the proper emotional tone for the various scenes.”  I for one am looking forward to both the full soundtrack and the David Fincher directed movie which will be release October 1st.  See the sample and full tracklist below.
