Giraffage released an album remixing the entire Love Hate album by The-Dream and it’s bad ass. Here are some of our favorites, download the whole thing for free HERE.
The guys from Chromeo and Chaz (AKA Toro Y Moi) prove they are the coolest in the game with the awesome video for their collab “Come Alive”. Seriously Chaz’s face at 4:03 is pretty priceless.
Tycho will be releasing a new album entitled Awake on March 18th via Ghostly International. We’ve already heard the title and lead track from the record now we have a new single “Montana”. The song isn’t a stretch for Hansen’s project carrying the same ambient glow as his previous releases, but it has tinges of indie guitar pop in the vein of Real Estate that much of his work doesn’t. Overall it’s an extremely enjoyable track increasing our anticipation for the full length. Pre-order Awake HERE.
Coachella is only a few months away so it’s time to start doing your homework. Check out a playlist featuring some of our favorites and must sees as well as new finds. The list is built by day and act so hit shuffle to mix it up. See you in the desert!
Keep Shelly in Athens released this track in homage of the departure of longstanding collaborator and singer, Sarah P. She’s leaving is order to focus on her other projects. Sarah and RΠЯ have worked together as a duo since 2010 so it will be interesting to hear future recordings sans Sarah P. A new KSiA album is to be announced later this year.
The Coachella 2014 lineup has just been released and per usual, it’s pretty awesome. The big news being the confirmation of the much rumored OutKast reunion, with Muse and Arcade Fire rounding out the headliners. But the hits keep on coming. Notable second tier acts are Lorde, The Knife, Beck, Pharell Williams, Disclosure, Chromeo, and Motörhead. Following those are what tend to be my favorite part, the early acts, featuring some of our favorites like Blood Orange, Future Islands, Banks, Bombay Bicycle Club, Bear Hands, Classixx, The 1975, MS MR, and…well you get the point. Tickets go on sale Friday (info) and they’re already advising people try for Weekend 2. Click more or head HERE for the full lineup. See you in the desert!
Two of our favorite producer outfits Treasure Fingers and The Knocks teamed up for this smooth little number asking “Do You Want To?” The answer is yes guys, whatever it is, we’re in. The track is up for free download on SoundCloud HERE.

RAC just released the collaboration with StB fav Tokyo Police Club for streaming on SoundCloud and we thought it was due time to post about the excellent EP. ”Tourist” fits perfectly next to the smash singles already released “Let Go” and “Hollywood” featuring Kele and MNDR and Penguin Prison, respectively. The Don’t Talk To EP is out and available for download everywhere. Enjoy!
Tokyo Police Club have been known to write short indie rock songs and take their sweet time between albums, they broke one of the molds with the single from their first album of original work in 3 years. Clocking in just shy of 9-minutes, “Argentina (Parts I, II, III)” beats their longest song by 5-minutes. It doesn’t quite sound like the Canadian crew we’re used to, but it feels like an unsurprising spot for them to land as they’ve matured through their last two full lengths. We’re eager for more.
Gardens & Villa’s newest single “Bullet Train” is a real earworm (in a good way). The track slinks through the haze created by wavey synths and reverb-laden guitar subtly digging further into your head hook by hook. By the end you’ll be singing along and you don’t even know the words. The song is featured on the band’s second album Dune, due out February 4th on Secretly Canadian.
