California Wives – “Tokyo”

0 Comments 13 March 2011

,

California Wives caught our attention last year with their Affair EP, especially the track “Blood Red Youth”.  An up and coming outfit out of Chicago the four-piece band has a knack of writing straightforward indie rock without coming across stale or trite.  On their newly released song “Tokyo” we find favoring their New Order influences creating a beautifully somber sound with a flare of synthpop.  Listen to both “Tokyo” and our favorite from last year “Blood Red Youth”  below and keep an eye for these guys this year.
