Wild Beasts – Smother

0 Comments 24 May 2011

The second single from Wild Beasts new album just dropped so we figured we’d put this post off long enough.  Smother, the English indie rock troupe’s third studio album, shows no sign of a junior slump between its singles “Albatross” and “Bed of Nails”.  The former is an ominous and hypnotic track that exhibits the group’s strengths with its beautifully overlapping melodies and distinctive falsetto vocals.  The band recently followed up with “Bed of Nails” which, though more lively than the previous single, is still more subtle than the feel of Two Dancers.  No matter the tempo, Smother proves are not done broadening their sound.  Listen to the two singles below and purchase the record HERE.
